SpaceObServer scans structures, sizes and properties of selected folders or whole drives, using a background service, and stores them in an MS SQL Server, ORACLE, MS Access or IBM DB2 database.

In a client solution the collected info can be viewed and browsed in hierarchical and tabular views and 3D bar, pie and line charts. For post processing tables can be exported to Excel or content files. Charts can be saved in a common pic format.

You can print a customizable report for scanned file systems. Using the archived info you are capable to track the design of the space usage from past to present, or simulate the size and structure of folder trees for a previous date.

A pliable file search with a lot of predefined searches allows filtering and listing files, e.g. by extension, size, or last modify date, directly from the database. Space usage can be grouped by file extensions or name of the files owner. In supplement, this software will also maintenance Unicode, the international character standard.

The SpaceObServer Client solution is a remote management utility for scheduling and reporting scans. It enables you to access details of scanned folders, from additional computers in your network.

SpaceObServer Client has the same PC user interface than the SpaceObServer, but it does not include the SpaceObServer system service.
